You're probably reading about the writers strike in local newspapers or getting tidbits of information on television. Unfortunately, I find much of this coverage pretty unsatisfying. Living in Los Angeles, I have the unique opportunity to visit the picketing areas myself to see and hear first hand what's happening day to day.
You can get a lot of the corporate stance from most news sites, so, I wanted to be able to bring you a bit more of what the writers are feeling so you can have a balanced understanding of what's at stake. Here are a few sites that will help to keep you up to speed:
- www.UnitedHollywood.com - This is a great blog started by some of the strike captains of the Writers Guild.
- The New York Times - The New York Times has some of the best ongoing coverage of the strike.
- The Los Angeles Times - This blog posted at the Los Angeles Times has a wealth of good info.
- MeeVee - Has a great blog on what's happenining.
As always, I'll be keeping you informed as I know more.
