Back to the Bargaining Table

By December 4, 2007

You never know what's really happening behind closed doors, but as of late last week, things were still looking pretty grim for a possible early resolution to the writer's strike.

Last Monday the producers and the writers sat at the bargaining table again. There was a press blackout to keep any mudslinging in the media from getting out of out hand. Inside word on Tuesday and Wednesday was that even though they had yet to come to terms there was progress being made. However, by Thursday it seemed as though they took a step backward. The press reported emotionally riddled statements from both sides that indicated we might be looking at a very long strike.

But after a four day respite, they are returning to the table once again. The writers are going to bring a counter offer to the offer they received from the producers last Thursday. Not a lot of people are all that optimistic, but as long they continue talking, there is always hope. Here's a bit more information on what's to be expected from tomorrow's negotiations.
