Hollywood is Getting Back to Work — Want to Join Them?

From Phil Breman, About.com GuideFebruary 22, 2008

With the writer's strike now behind us, production is starting to kick back into gear. Normally, February and March are the months where television shows wrap for the season and go on hiatus.

It's also the time when new television pilots are scripted and shot and ultimately chosen for the new season.

This year things are a little off schedule. Pilots are being done a bit haphazardly, existing television shows are scrambling to get as many episodes completed as possible and the networks are considering extending the current season until June (to make up for lost ad revenue).

If you're looking for opportunity, now is as good a time as any. Be sure you check the production listings in the Hollywood Reporter over the next few weeks, because as everyone ramps back up, there are going to be plenty of holes they'll need to fill. Most of the listings will have contact information for the production office as well as a fax or e-mail for you to send your resume.
